Data sources
- Official spec sheets (PDF): highest confidence. Where a vendor’s PDF is hosted on a dealer CDN but issued by the vendor (e.g. Absen’s Saturn sheet), we say so.
- Official product pages: medium confidence. Parameter tables on the vendor’s own site.
- Dealer/third-party cross-checks: low confidence, used only when nothing official exists (e.g. INFiLED DBmk2). We label these clearly.
Every product page links its sources. Nothing is scraped from forums, marketplaces or AI summaries.
Normalization rules
- Brightness: nits = cd/㎡, one unit. Caveat: ROE quotes post-calibration brightness; most vendors quote typical values. We flag this on the affected product pages instead of pretending the numbers are strictly comparable.
- Power: normalized to W/㎡. Vendors quoting per-cabinet watts (Unilumin, ROE, AOTO) are converted using the cabinet’s footprint (500 × 500 mm = 0.25 ㎡); the original figure and the formula are kept on the product page.
- Pixel pitch: we store the vendor’s nominal label and the exact mm value when published (e.g. “P3.9” → 3.906 mm). Tables group by exact value.
- Refresh rate: stored as the number; test conditions (e.g. Unilumin’s “3,840 Hz @60”) kept verbatim where given.
- Weight: listed exactly as the vendor states it. We do not force-align figures when it’s unclear whether PSU/receiving card are included.
Missing-value policy
An “n/a” means the figure was not found in the vendor’s public documents, not that it is zero, and not that we estimated it. We never interpolate, never copy a sibling model’s spec, and never present dealer guesses as vendor data.
Coverage gaps
When a manufacturer has no rental-cabinet line in a pitch we cover (Daktronics and Desay in this pilot), we publish a gap note instead of silently omitting them. Absence of a product line is information.
Neutrality
- We take no commissions, no referral fees and no paid placements from manufacturers.
- There are no affiliate links on this site. Source links point to vendor pages and are marked
rel="nofollow". - Rankings in comparison tables are alphabetical by manufacturer, not “best to worst”. The table is a tool, not a verdict.
- Corrections: if a vendor updates a spec sheet, tell us and we’ll re-verify and update the page with a new date.
Verification
All specs on this site were last verified against official vendor documents on 2026-09-26. Vendors revise spec sheets without notice. Confirm critical figures with the vendor before purchasing.
